We enjoy cucumbers, tomatoes, beans and potatoes from our garden. Rita, my wife still gets a kick out of harvesting seeds and nurturing them for next year’s crop. We sometimes cook in the garden (usually fish and rice with mixed vegetables) and it’s as I stand cooking the food with the evening sun on my back and a glass of wine that I feel our Lord’s presence.

Very much enjoyed this devotional, brother! Your family is so animated, we love these stories. Gardening really is a powerful depiction of life. Truly what we reap, we will sow. And when we fail to tend to the garden often, weeds grow up and choke out our best intentions.
