I am looking forward to your new book Abram and future books also. I am reading Andrew Murrays book Abide in Christ and It's like this devotional knew that. It is a great old book and it is reminding me to stay with the Lord. Abide In Him

Brennan, there are a number of writings out there these days approaching the same subject, but your collection of verses and comments are particularly good. It reaches the heart easily and effectively. Thank you. As for help with fear – having lost my niece a few weeks back, I’m reading Billy Graham’s “Facing Death and The Life After.” It’s a book I would recommend to anyone, as it covers all kinds of deaths (young or old) and all angles of fear concerning death. Good stuff. At least for THAT particular fear. As for fear in general, I always go back to my decision to trust God. I’m reminded it’s black or white – I do or don’t trust God… and I do trust Him. Case closed for me. I have no energy for fear.

I have been told by my doctors to avoid stress at all cost for my mental and health purposes. In today’s society that would seem to be a mere impossibility, however, I find in God, it is my only true source of peace and contentment. Praise be to God.

At times I struggle with these fears and anxiety. Then Ithe Holy Spirit reminds me that I am to take every thought captive and I turn to the Word for renewing my mind. Our ladies Bible study is studying Habakkuk. How timely. He was facing what we are today and God wasn’t answering his cry. But at the end of the book he says, “Though the fig tree does not bud and there are no grapes on the vines, though the olive crop fails and the fields produce no food, though there are no sheep in the sheep fold and no cattle in the stalls, YET I WILL REJOICE IN THE LORD, I WILL BE JOYFUL IN HOD MY SAVIOUR. The Sovereign Lord is my strength he makes my feet like the feet of a deer, he enables me to tread to the high places.”
