It’s amazing how much Scripture talks of steadfastness! Most of the usage of the term is in the OT, and a lot of it is in reference to God’s response toward us and our unfaithfulness. It gives a whole new meaning to Christ’s steadfastness, and his standing in the gap for us. It also shows God’s plan for all time, and the unification of the old and new testament.
