Hebrews is one of my fav books cuz when we one is feeling unsure of God’s faithfulness all you have to do is look back and see what He has already done. I’m reminded of an old song that says I’ve got so many hills and valleys to cross, but then the singer says but i turn around and look back and see all of the hills and valleys you’ve already brought me over and my faith is secure. Thank you again for this reminder!

I feel the same way, Leslie. So much going on right now, and all he asks is that we focus on him. It really simplifies things – although that in itself is quite the task. About the Chirp promo – how fun! Chirp has brought nearly 2,000 new listeners to my audiobooks. I’m thankful for the opportunity to reach people through their platform. I hope you enjoy listening! This devotional is focused on building people up spiritually. The books are pretty dark. Hopefully they’re good counter-balances. 🙂

I too have found myself wondering what God is up to in these days. I have grieved for what ha been lost but also questioned if the way we “do church” is even the right thing at all. God HS been faithful to me and helped me to realize that all this stuff going on is just stuff and my focus has to remain on him. If I look to the right or left, I will get fearful and distracted. Like Martha, I will get overwhelmed with all the things. But I want to choose to just sit at his feet and this quiet time with less busyness has allowed me to do just that. And as I focus on him, I am reminded of his faithfulness to me, my heart fills with gratitude and I become overwhelmed with him- which is a good thing! Btw- I just found you because of the chirp audio books app. I cane here to find out a little about you and what you believe. Now I know. And I can’t wait to listen to your books.

I have been praying for my son this past 18 years. He left at age 16 to live with his dad. His dad is a very hurting and bitter man. I haven’t even talked with my son for 15 years. Two weeks ago he called and asked if he could come home. It has been so wonderful to spend time with him. I have also found that God protected my son thru the years and that his faith in God is alive and growing. God is so good and I’m praising Him for His faithfulness.
